Scuba Diving with Subway Watersports

ROATAN SCUBA DIVING AND SNORKELING

Roatan and its world-renowned scuba diving attracted more than a million visitors last year. As far as Roatan resorts go, Turquoise Bay is the only dive resort in this lush and remote area of the island providing scuba divers and snorkelers with the opportunity to dive and snorkel uncrowded pristine sites. The North side of Roatan offers scuba divers and snorkelers the unique opportunity to experience the largest variety of reef topography on the island. Roatan, in the Bay Islands of Honduras, is surrounded by the world’s second-largest barrier reef that is one of the healthiest in the Caribbean due to the Roatan Marine Park and the local dive community encouraging conservative diving practices. Explore sloping plateaus perfect for spotting macro life, sheer walls with large soft corals and barrel sponges, wreck dives abundant with life, crevices, trenches, overhangs and cavern systems such as our two most popular dive sites Underground and Dolphin’s Den.
All of our scuba diving lessons and instructors are PADI qualified for your peace of mind.
Roatan’s water temperature ranges from 78 – 84 F with visibility consistent between 60-100 feet

ABOUT SUBWAY WATERSPORTS

Our on-site Dive Center is operated by Subway Watersports. They are an elite PADI 5 Star Instructor Development and National Geographic Dive Center. Subway Watersports opened for business in April 2001 and soon became well known for its quality and personal service. Our location at Turquoise Bay opened in March 2006. We offer valet diving, take out small groups of 6-12 divers per boat and a PADI Divemaster guides all dives. Experienced Scuba Instructors offer PADI scuba diving lessons from beginner to Instructor in private classes. In addition to diving, we offer snorkel trips, fishing and day trips to the neighboring Bay Islands.
