We will be running 2 trips to the Manatees in 2012. The dates are January 14 - 16 and February 18 - 20. Click here for the February 2012 trip flyer! The February trip will be the same as the January except for the dates.
Manatee Trip 2011 January 14 - 16, (MLK birthday weekend) February 18 - 20, (President's Day holiday weekend) The West Indian Manatee is one of the gentlest giants of the sea. Every year hundreds of Manatees return to the springs of central Florida to spend the winter. The constant 74 degree water keeps these lovable creatures warm throughout the cold winter months. Wearing a 2 piece 3mm john and jacket wetsuit these water temperatures are very comfortable for divers and snorkelers alike. Many manatees will actually seek out human contact. The manatee has no natural enemies. Snorkel with the gentle giants of the ocean on this annual trip to central Florida. The West Indian Manatee is one of the most approachable mammals in the animal kingdom. Some enjoy the gentle touch or scratch of humans. If you are a ocean and animal lover this is a must do trip. You will also spend a day drift diving the beautiful Rainbow River. This may be the world's best 12 foot dive! The water in the Rainbow River is some of the clearest water you will ever dive in. You will see fish, turtles, and fresh water bubbling from the river bed. The link below will show you the trip flyer from the 2008 trip. The trip in 2009 will be the same but the price and dates will be different. We will post an updated flyer as soon as possible.
